SPIRITUAL VISIONARIES Vision to Reality!
Unity Women’s Ministry and Council “Her”story. Women’s events began in 1999 with the first weekend retreat. The founding visionaries were Kyra Baehr, Mariette Holland, and Barbara Powers to name only a few. From that point in time there have been two events per year – one a weekend retreat (Fall) and the other a day celebration (Spring).
The creation of the Unity Women’s Ministry Council began in the spring of 2004 after approximately five years of women’s events. The structure of The Council is to organize and coordinate the various spiritual areas within the ministry. Also, to delegate the tasks of the a functioning ministry more evenly allowing women spiritual growth through their expression, their talent and volunteered time in specific areas.
