The Teams of the Unity Women's Ministry Council

Administrative Team

• Take Minutes of Council Meetings

• Keeps master calendar including UWM, Unity of Mesa, Unity of Divine Love

• Provides internal communication within The Council

• Establishes Guidelines

• Liaison between Unity of Divine Love and Unity of Mesa

• Maintains master inventory list

Events Team

• Create periodic assessments regarding types of events

• Serve as a clearinghouse for submittal of individual ideas to be reviewed and approved

• Set realistic goals for frequency and timing of events

• Provide a method of creation of sub-teams for each event and seek "woman power" for them

• Interact with other teams as necessary to accomplish all of the above

Communication Team

• Provides PR-Publicy-Media

• Provides Marketing

• Maintains Website

• Emailing as necessary

• Calls as necessary

• Keeps master Lists/Forms

• Provides volunteer coordination

Financial Team

• Provides Budgeting and oversight of spending and records

• Provides fundraising to support the ministry

• Provides financial report to Council and to Sponsors as necessary

        
SPIRITUAL VISIONARY, Reverend Kyra Baehr

Vision to Reality!

Reverend Kyra Baehr is the founding minister of Unity of Divine Love located in Tempe, Arizona. Kyra was graduate and ordained by the Association of Unity Churches and Unity School for Religious Studies in June of 1997. Her first three years in ministry were as an Associate Minister to her husband, Reverend Joel Baehr at Unity Church of Mesa. The last couple years have found Kyra pioneering the new church.

Kyra came in the ministry with close to twenty years prior corporate and non-profit experience as an executive at United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast in Houston, Texas, as a National Trainer for Appelbaum Institute, and as a personal recruiter and manager with Diversified Human Resource Group.

Kyra's values for living: To live, love, serve and express from a conscious awareness of the divinity of all life. To teach and inspire others to experience their oneness and live a grace-filled existence in alignment with divine flow and prosperity.

Unity Women's Ministry and Council "Her"story

Women's events began in 1999 with the first weekend retreat. The founding visionaries were Kyra, Mariette Holland, and Barbara Powers to name only a few. From that point in time there have been two events per year - one a weekend retreat (October) and the other a day celebration (March).

The creation of the Unity Women's Ministry Council began in the spring of 2004 after approximately five years of women's events. The structure of The Council is to organize and coordinate the various spiritual areas within the ministry. Also, to delegate the tasks of the a functioning ministry more evenly allowing women spiritual growth through their expression, their talent and volunteered time in specific areas.

The Role of The UWM Council

• To hold the vision and consciousness

• To create direction and focus

• To establish structures and guidelines

• To provide activities and events that fulfill the Unity Women's Ministry Mission

• To be responsive, inclusive and supportive
